  1. Walk or Run the Butler trail around Lady Bird Lake. Refer to it as “Town Lake” and you will immediately be propelled to “Austinite” status.  Download A Printable Butler Trail Map
  2. Grab coffee at Jo’s on S.Congress. Then have an Instagram moment at the “ I love you so much” wall.
  3. Two-Step at the Broken Spoke – even if you have 2 left feet. Dance lessons 8-9pm, then band comes on at 9pm Wed-Sat.
  4. Visit the Austin Central Library – a newer addition to Austin, opened in 2017 – and named by TIME as one of the Great Places 2018. Or if in the mood to purchase a good book, stop into Book People — a local icon since 1970.
  5. On a nice day, sit outside at Hula Hut on Lake Austin and enjoy a margarita. If’s the weather is NOT that great — then go to Fonda San Miguel, sit in the Mexican inspired bar area & have a numero uno margarita.
  6. Take a yoga class at any of these fabulous studios : BFree Yoga Austin | Breath and Body Yoga |Dharma Yoga |Yoga Yoga
  7. Swim laps at Deep Eddy (one of the oldest swimming pools in Texas and it’s spring fed) or take a cold plunge in Barton Springs. They are open all year and both a little chilly.
  8. Drive to Driftwood (it’s not that far) and eat at The original Salt Lick BBQ  Note — it’s BYOB and CASH ONLY.
  9. Eat sushi at UCHI on S. Lamar.  Another original.  Best to make reservations as it’s a quaint little house turned restaurant and space is limited.
  10.  See a movie at the Violet Crown.  Order food and drinks in the lobby. Eat in the lobby or bring your goodies in with you to the movie.  Reserved seating — insider tip — the front row actually are the BEST seats. Trust me.
