Overall March 2020 ended on a high note for sellers. The graph below shows a 3-year market stat comparison for Austin and surrounding areas. As you can see, average days on market was less compared to the previous two years while price per sq/ft and overall sales price were higher.
Most of the March 2020 data reflects the ATX market prior to Covid-19. It’s still to early to tell what impact the current health crisis will have on ATX homes prices ( if at all).
I appreciate the advice Shark Tank’s Real Estate Expert Barbara Corcoran gives — in summary, she says, in uncertain times there are deals to be had and if you can buy now, then buy now.
